Vietnam e-Visa or Vietnam Visa Online is a mandatory travel authorization for travelers visiting Vietnam for business, tourism or transit purposes. This online process for electronic Visa for Vietnam was implemented from 2017 by the Government of Vietnam.

The online Vietnam visa application or the Vietnam eVisa was created in 2017. The Vietnam visa online allows a maximum stay of 30 days.

The Vietnam e-visa is valid for a variety of travel-related objectives, including business, tourism, education, visiting family, investment, journalism, and employment. The Vietnam visa online was mainly introduced to speed up the application procedure. Arriving in Vietnam faster is possible for foreign visitors who have an official eVisa.

The online Vietnam visa application requires applicants to provide personal and passport information as well as their intended purpose of travel. All of Vietnam's international airports accept the Vietnam eVisa, and at the port of entry, the approved eVisa must be shown.

An applicant must possess the following in order to submit the online Vietnam Visa Application:

• The passport of the applicant must be still valid six months after the date of entry into Vietnam
• Biographical passport page image of the applicant
• A passport-style photograph of the applicant
• The address in Vietnam where the traveler plans to stay
• To pay the Vietnam visa online or the Vietnam eVisa application fee, you must have a valid debit or credit card
• An active and existing email address of the applicant

Travelers must print at least one copy of the approved Vietnam eVisa after it has been authorized in order to submit it at the border and receive expedited admission into the country.

For travellers or foreign nationals looking to stay for a longer period in Vietnam must apply for a visa at a Vietnam Consulate or Embassy.
