Eligible Countries for Vietnam Visa

Starting from August 2017, Vietnam e-Visa is required for travelers visiting Vietnam for business, transit or tourism visits under thirty (30) days.

Vietnam e-Visa is a new entry requirement for foreign nationals with visa exempt status who are planning to travel to Vietnam. The authorization is linked electronically to your passport and is valid for a period of 30 days.

Applicants of the eligible countries/territories must apply online minimum four (4) - seven (7) days in advance of the date of arrival.

Which countries are exempted to carry a visa for entering Vietnam?

The country's citizens who do not require to carry a visa for entering Vietnam are as follows:-

• Chile and Panama:- These countries are exempted from a Vietnam Visa for ninety days.
• Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Indonesia, Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, Singapore and Myanmar:- These countries are exempted from a Vietnam Visa for thirty days.
• Philippines:- This country is exempted from a Vietnam Visa for twenty-one days.
• South Korea, Finland, Japan, Sweden, Belarus, Russia, Spain, France, Germany, Denmark, United Kingdom, Italy and Norway:- These countries are exempted from carrying a Vietnam Visa for fifteen days.
• Brunei:- This country is exempted from a Vietnam Visa for fourteen days.
